This review is more about the restaurant than the golf course. Our lunch here was beyond expectations of good. Our server was right on spot and the food was excellent. The menu is quite varied and they carry great daily specials. We enjoyed the outdoor patio seating and they had spacious indoor seating available too. Our server informed us the restaurant closes for the season in late October and will reopen April 1. View all feedback.
What John C doesn't like about Mccloud Golf Club:
I expressed displeasure with the course's relationship with the people who run the snack shop. First, they denied I'd ever played there I've played that course more than 50 times. then they called me abusive for saying anything I was in no way abusive Then, THEY CONTACTED AND HARRASSED PEOPLE ON MY FRIEND LIST. Do not let these people have any of your info or money. You might be sorry if you do. View all feedback.

This isn't a rating for the golf club (I no longer golf) but for the awesome restaurant, Bogey's, that doesn't have a separate review category. The food here is hearty with both healthy, and, well, ample choices! You're not going to leave hungry. The best opportunity is to hang out on the shady porch looking out to the verdant alpine landscape. The specials offer a little more somethin' somethin'. Chicken salad sandwich on a croissant with a side of broccoli salad was my kind of awesome. Breakfast was great, too (yep, I was there twice in one day, it was so good)!
There something to be said about the history of this incredible venue. this turn of the century golf course Was first dug in by staff horses. Property was donated by Randolph Hearst. It's a pleasure and a honor to work here in the restaurant . Check us out a Bogeys Cafe.
I'm no golfer, but every now and then I like to use the driving range for stress relief. Staff was friendly. $7 large bucket, 5 medium, and I I think it's 3 for small. $5 club rental. As a side note: there's a new Cafe called Bogey's that's part of the resort. The food was amazing and fairly priced. I got a bacon cheeseburger and fries for $16. The staff was friendly and accommodating despite our rough appearance after swimming at McCloud falls. They honestly deserve a 10/5.
Very good sandwiches, excellent service, wonderful porch to sit out on and fine. It was a perfect day trip from Redding to Mt Shasta via Burney Falls and the golf course. Perfect day to beat the heat!
