Description
A beloved family-run diner delivers chef-inspired breakfast and lunch favorites—standout bacon, avocado toast and French toast—at reasonable prices with outdoor seating and QR allergy info. The menu is well-presented and often packed with locals, though service can be uneven: attentive servers and warm atmosphere contrast occasional slow service, a rude host, forgotten takeout, and an automatic 22% gratuity that has frustrated patrons. Overall, it’s a charming community spot with excellent food and occasional service hiccups to be aware of.

Excellent food and clean atmosphere. Portions are more than sufficient with fair prices. Would highly recommend!
Cook Good Hometown is a charming classic diner that serves up fantastic food! Their bacon is simply the best I've ever tasted, and the baked beef hash is incredible. Truly, everything on the menu is amazing! The service is always friendly and attentive, making for a wonderful dining experience.
My husband Dan and I are huge fans of this restaurant. We visit once a month and haven't come across a better breakfast spot in the valley or among the local diners. The service is outstanding, the portion sizes are generous, and we truly enjoy our time at this place.
Eggs in eggs Benedict were hard cooked and served on a crusty baguette that was difficult to cut with a butter knife. Tomato and spinach were cold, making the whole thing cold. They charged extra for real maple syrup, for which my husband needed 2 bottles for the amount of pancakes that were served. The waitress was not attentive...waiting over 5 minutes for more coffee and the 2nd bottle of syrup. Half full restaurant and the noise level was loud. Will not be returning.
