The cost per person... read more The food at this pub was a bit pricey for my liking, but I did enjoy the meal. I feel like for the price, I should have received a bit more. The cost per person ranged from $20 to $30. The food, service, and atmosphere all received a rating of 4. Some recommended dishes include the Black-N-Blue Elk Burger and the Fish and Chips.

We walked up to Salmon River Brewery 2 hours before closing time and approached the hostess station and one of the hostesses asked how many and my wife said “Two please” then the other hostess without even looking at us said, ummmm we’re not taking any more on our wait list. It may take us to closing. I didn’t see anyone waiting and there were several empty seats inside and at the bar. I can’t rate the food because we didn’t have a chance to try it, but as a Hospitality Executive I would be very disappointed if any of my 30+ hostesses addressed one of our guests in the rude manner that we encountered. The hostesses seemed to be very involved in their own world and not really concerned about creating a welcoming environment at all. We walked across the street to Lago Chapala Mexican Restaurant and had a completely different experience with quick and friendly service, pleasant welcoming attitudes and speedy service followed by great food. Glad we ended our experience with Salmon River Brewing before it got any worse. I really don’t even feel like giving them a second Service: 1 Atmosphere: 1
