What Phil Hardy likes about Rupert's:
Fine dining isn’t prevalent in this lakeside town but Rupert’s is pretty close. Food is delicious, even if the fish was flown in from New Zealand (couldn’t figure that out). Meats are locally sourced and a good wine list. Was unusually hot that weekend so air conditioning was struggling and we sat outside, which was nice but in plastic chairs. We ordered the tasting menu and the elk meatloaf. The meatloaf was delicious, but the green beans were way too raw/crunchy. The lamb that came with the tasting menu was okay. The beet salad was delicious, as was the butterscotch creme dessert. All in all, it was good but not exceptional.
