A group of 12 went for dinner at Pekin; the place was spotless, empty, clean and very accomodating to our large group. Most of us ordered one of the set meals (1-4) rather than individual dishes, as that was the known approach. The dishes really were delicious, fresh and plentiful for a very small amount of pesos. Our choice for #3 included a soup, fried rice, chicken chow mein, assorted vegetables and pork ribs. Abo... View all feedback.

If you're craving some Chinese food in Mexico, give Pekin a try. They are not licensed, but the waiter will go to the convenience store nearby and grab you a beer. the food was good and you satisfied your craving. View all feedback.
My daughter and I stopped to order a meal. restaurant is huge. no one in there except two children (by owners or workers) to touch the clean table wars. order two frescas and pork chow mine. after 45 minutes I left a 50-Peso screen on the table to cover the two drinks (a total of 38 pesos for both. no bad tipp.) the waitress came outside after me. I told her we had ordered us and had to go. Nobody worked. they were standing around. she did not speak Spanish or English. she followed me to get me. I called a friend to interpret. he says you Spanish are worse than you English. Finally we could escape 50 pesos for two frescoes and still hungry. there is a reason why the restaurant had no people in it. that should have been my first observation. left on the search for another place to din.

My daughter and I stopped in to order a meal. Restaurant is huge. No one in there except two kids (of owners or workers) running around touching the clean table wares. Ordered two frescas and pork chow mein. After 45 minutes, I left a 50 peso bill on the table to cover the two drinks (drinks total 38 pesos for both. Not a bad tip). The waiter lady came running after me outside. I explained to her that we ordered and needed to leave. No one was working. They were standing around. She spoke no Spanish or English. She followed me out to my car grabbing me. I phoned a friend to help interpret. He says her Spanish was worse than her English. Finally we were able to escape---50 pesos for two frescas and still hungry. There's a reason that restaurant had zero people in it. That should have been my first clue. Left in search of another place to dine.

Most chose to bring their leftovers home. Being able to bring your own wine or beer is a nice bonus.
