I wasn't wanting to get a walk in and also seek some supper. I was walking streetside and saw the display of goodness they had (plates made up and wrapped in plastic wrap to let people walking by see some of what they make). I decided I liked what I saw and would step on in. I was sat right at the area nearest the ocean so I could watch the sunset and the beach activity. I found a shrimp dish with shrimp stuffed with... What Emilie Moe doesn't like about Alagua:
I think its called alawa now. Its a great beach location. Never eaten there but have had a few drinks for the view. At least one sometimes more than one tuba miriachi band will show up and crank thier music . At god awful levels. Like when the dude bears down on the bass not in the tuba its hard to control your bladder. I have literally seen dogs flee the area when this happens. View all feedback.
Not only the lookout was unbelievable from this restaurant on the sea, but all delicious seafood dishes were just as wonderful. at my first visit I could not resist ordering the shrimp and octupus tostada omg for which I should die. incredibly fresh garnel and oktupus ceviche. were stacked high. the cervich was mixed with all the freshest ingredients and came with exactly the right heat. the oktupus was so fresh and so delicious that he was almost melted in my mouth. I also ordered the fresh fish of the day served with garlic and chili (mojo de ajo style) another incredible dish that was light, tasty and tasty. the next day I went back and had the cervical snack, this time I ordered two. not in any case a contempt. I also have to say if they ask chile salsas, the waiter can bring them a sort of freshly made things.
We went to lunch and had only tacos, but they were delicious. had thunfisch and arrachara tacos. homemade tortillas were a plus. good size portions. great view on the beach. I will have gone back
They have an open policy to accept them, even after diving into the sea, well served and amazing.
Went back twice for the Tuna Carpaccio! The first time, we had the bacon wrapped shrimp- good, tuna carpaccio-excellent and tuna tacos- ok. The carpaccio was wonderful so went back for another round prior to our departure. Tasted the same, but received a little less...tuna and crispy onions. Will go again! The sign outside says Alawa. It's right on the beach, set way back from the main drag, near the El CID Moro.
Great food, great staff, great location. We went here while we waited to get our all inclusive wristbands for the El Cid Castilla located beside the restaurant. We had some drinks and a shrimp platter. So much food and the service was great and they had free wifi. Our server put us in touch with the guy we booked out deep sea fishing day with, had him come right down to the restaurant to meet with us.If you have a chance while in mazatlan you should go here!
