Sieghard - Mayrhofen

Without a doubt one of the best and most wonderful restaurant visits I have ever made The tasting palette, the layup and the service was absolutely fabulous! The decor of the place is also very nice with lots of modern art and energy being...put into the tiny details giving a pleasant, welcoming feeling. For being started as a B B in 1975 and then expanded with their own restaurant in 1989 they have now grown into a very well respected restaurant that I can highly recommend. My immediate reaction was why they aren’t in the Michelin Guide, but apparently the guide for Austria is no longer covering the whole country! Instead they actually have 2‍ in Gault Millau! The Sieghard can take pride in using locally plucked chanterelles and their own “home brewed” snaps from blueberries! I wish to extend my curtesy to the Sieghard family; papa Sieghard, Christian and Sabrine for your excellent service and hospitality!

Having read various reviews, and as we were in various fine dining places we decided to visit with the kids. We took sharing menu. Everything we tasted was very good, but did not have the extra thing u (we) would expect.

Sieghard's restaurant has performed consistently very well all the times I have visited during 2016-17. Half board presents a delicious set menu every evening with a very good cheese buffet on Thursdays.The restaurant's dishes are all clearly above what what you would expect to have in a Austrian hotel restaurant. I will be back again in March to enjoy! The restaurant truly lives up to the slogan of "a small hotel with a grand kitchen!"
