Pre pandemic, I think i was here twice in 15 years but since pandemic, I'm here regularly. Primary reason is, they're very dog friendly and have lots of outdoor covered seating at the front with service. The staff are really nice, dog gets lots of attention and water, and the beer/cocktails are great too! There's a real gap in Maynooth for a dog friendly bar and the Newtown is as close as it gets. Very disappointed to see they charging for parking a d only able to do it via App only with no parking machine so another 40 cent convenience fee on top. More convenient to take business elsewhere. Chinese takeaway will lose customers as well for this ill judged decision. View all feedback.
I don't get it. Friendly staff a good pint but pub is dead at weekends. For a neighbourhood bar you would think it would be alot more busier.

It's a functional bar and lounge. Nice staff . Large TVs in the lounge , but it's advertised as a sports bar so can't complain. However they are not strict enough on covid certs. Therefore its not safe enough at the moment until that aspect of civic duty is fixed. Friendly place. Lovely pint.
Ray and the staff are very welcoming, great pint of Guinness and reasonably priced.
Great to enjoy some sports and also the Live music Band too
