With an extensive lunch menu available on Fridays and Saturdays from 1pm to 4pm, an early bird menu available until 6:30pm, and a full a la carte menu available all day, Avenue serves dishes made in-house with a focus on Irish ingredients. Founded in December 2007 by Robert Bronagh Kennedy and Head Chef Jonathan Cole, Avenue has built a reputation for excellence by consistently serving local Irish modern cuisine at the highest standard using only the best Irish suppliers. The dedicated front of house team prioritizes customer satisfaction and takes pride in delivering quality, consistency, and value. Avenue is open on Sundays from 1pm with last orders at 8pm.

The Avenue offers a mixed experience with a friendly staff and limited lunch menu; good atmosphere but disappointing food quality and slow service. Some diners enjoyed the Caesar salad and fish and chips, while others found the seafood chowder lacking. Positive highlights include great service, excellent Featherblade dish, and a diverse menu catering to various dietary needs. Overall, The Avenue is a decent spot for a meal, with room for improvement in consistency across all aspects of the dining experience.
Today, my extended family and I enjoyed a lovely lunch at this restaurant. The staff were incredibly friendly, helpful, and attentive. We had 4 children with us and the waiter even provided pictures and crayons for them to color while waiting for their food. I ordered the Spinach Salad with Grilled Chicken, which was a bit watery but very delicious - I would definitely order it again. The rest of my group ordered items like spicy chicken wings, potato gratin, onion rings, cod and chips, and BBQ chicken wings, and everything was absolutely devoured.
Food is almost always great, service was very good this time no complaints hope to return again in the near future
We had a dinner for our friends hen party on Saturday. The staff couldn’t have been more accommodating. The service was amazing and very friendly. The food was delicious.
I went here for the first time ever for a date night it was absolutely from start to finish! The atmosphere was cosy warm, we had a 3 course and it was amazingly delicious I haven't been able to finish every meal from a 3 course in a long, long time! Have to compliment especially the sticky toffee pudding, it was to die for
