I went to Peppertown yesterday with a friend for coffee. She ordered the breakfast roll and I had the scrambled eggs with salmon, which was delicious. My friend's meal looked so good that I decided to go back this morning to try it. What User doesn't like about Peppertown Cafe:
Been here for coffee and breakfast since the old owner and the food is very basic. I was served a brioche bacon and egg roll which was hard as a rock, 100% inedible. Tasted like it was stale and then out in the oven uncovered. No apology from the staff member first told. View all feedback.

Although I was initially hesitant about the price (it was $15, a bit high compared to other $10 deals), it was definitely worth it. My partner suggested adding a hash brown on the side, but we were too full to consider it after finishing our meals. The coffee was good, although slightly under extracted. The new owners are doing great things and I plan to visit at least once a week.
Mediocre coffee, food and service. The owner is disinterested in being friendly and making an effort. Seems a bit depressed. Wouldn't make the effort to return.

The new owners have done a fantastic job revitalizing this cafe. Previously a bit dull, Peppertown is now vibrant and exciting. With delicious coffee, a creative menu, and friendly staff, it's quickly becoming one of our top choices!
Great little find in Mayfield while visiting Newcastle over the long weekend. Great vibe with live music on one of the days we visited. We visited for lunch and breaky over the weekend and between us tried the Spanish beans and eggs, blt with haloumi , crumpets and corn fritters. All meals were delicious but I loved the sour dough bread with the blt the best! Staff were friendly and coffee great. Would definatly recommend this place!
