I had delicious scallops wrapped in a bacon jacket over potato salad with pine nuts and salad. Good food, good location in a nice setting. Do not miss this restaurant if you visit the Castle!

I must say, I was not too convinced it... read more We went there for lunch because the restaurant is just 200 mt away from Schloss Bürresheim that we visited that morning. I must say, I was not too convinced it would have been a good choice because of all the mixed reviews of other travellers; but it turned out it was. We found a shaded place on the terrace with no reservation and we had a great view of the simply manicured garden. The service staff were very friendly and attentive. The cheese and onion bread they brought us was fragrant and delicious. The food was excellent. We had lamb that simply melted in your mouth and really tender filet. For our son we ordered sausages (which were also of top quality) and salad. What I like most about the restaurant is how child friendly it was. Inside they have a children corner there with small tables and chairs and plenty of toys and crayons. Outside there is a trampoline and children can also play on the bank of the little, shallow stream that runs next to the restaurant. We will definitely go back.
