I made a reservation online well in advance for lunch to celebrate my wife's birthday. Two days prior to our reservation, I received an email asking me to confirm it, which I did. However, just seventy minutes before our scheduled lunch, I received a phone call informing me that the booking system shouldn't have let me reserve a table as they weren't open for lunch on Saturdays. Popped in for lunch and was blown away. Incredible cooking, they really know what they’re doing. Wonderfully balanced flavours, all perfectly done. Really disappointed on the sunniest day of the year! Service was terrible although waitress did admit she was new. Food was slow to arrive between courses. The dishes were below par, although the hake and the steak were cooked well the accompanying sauces felt they were cooked by a trainee chef over salted and too much butter on the hake and the sauce with the beef was average. Do not have the dessert at Mor awful execution and end to the meal. Banana split and the chocolate salted caramel were disgusting. The blue cheese was served at the wrong temperature which made it unpalatable. For a mid range restaurant this should be better.

Cannot recommend this place enough. The food was excellent. Lobster rolls, scallops and half a lobster simply cooked and presented perfectly. The oysters to start were huge and delicious.
