The service is always friendly, and the cuisine, is simple but good, a nice change from the normal Perigord dishes. A wonderful place for familiesor couples.

One of you... read more Review French and English. We visited Banana on the afternoon of Sunday 18 August. My birthday. Our driver was sober but all of us had been drinking. One of your company left their iPhone behind. We were worried and phoned around all the places we had visited. We phoned Banana and they said 'Hey, you are the people who came for drinks this afternoon. We found an iPhone. 'They are friendly, welcoming and honest. We have been before we will go again. Apart from the honest staff the scenery is fantastic. visited Banana in the afternoon of Sunday, 18 August. My birthday. Our driver was sober but we all drank. One of your company left his iPhone behind. We were worried and called to all the places we had visited. We phoned Banana and they told us: "Hey, you are the people who came to have a drink this afternoon. We found an iPhone. They are friendly, welcoming and honest. We were before we returned. It's a bar with a nice v... read more Mauzac is not not exactly on the tourist trail but somehow people manage to find this and it's worth dropping by if you're in the area. It's a bar with a nice view of the river, some pleasant shaded seating and good for a drink or as we did, a simple supper. Short menu, but we had a their Tapas board followed up with a good steak special, confit duck etc. All decently cooked and served with a smile, very pleasant.

To... read more I have just read a previous review stating that the owner/waitress was moody and rude, well I think we had this in full force during our visit this evening. To cut a long story short the owner/waitress made a mistake with our order and then decided to a blame us for her mistake, b state that we should have booked as this is ‘the way things are done in France!’ (Note: 3 tables out of about 12 were taken….and she took our order willingly enough when we walked in! and c stated that the vegetarian Pad Thai I ordered contained fish sauce anyway (despite me checking no fish or meat included before ordering . She also chastised me for ordering at the bar saying it was table service, yet I was just following the ‘service au bar’ instruction on the blackboard outside! She was rude, angry and arrogant, As a seasoned traveller this is my worst restaurant experience to date. I could not eat my food after her tirade of inappropriate abuse and my wife chose not to have anything after the wrong dish was served and her reaction. The owner/waitress simply could not cope with the question ‘what have we done wrong?’ We paid for our unfinished drinks but not the food. An evening ruined by terrible and unprofessional behaviour by an individual who should know better and let herself down. Very sad for such a beautiful setting in France.

In the end... read more First time in this small restaurant bar in Mauzac. The boss, alone for the kitchen and the service, was a little overwhelmed so first a little tense. In the end, the service was not so long, we ate well and discovered a much more sympathetic personality at the end of the service. We will probably return if we have the opportunity to return to this pretty village, and the rating of 4/5 only requires to evolve.

There was no customer service or politeness whatsoever. We decided to give another chance so we went down again some time during the week to get some food and drinks as it was our last day and the same woman came out and refused to serve us saying we needed a reservation even tho there was no one inside the restaurant

This quirky little bar doesn't seem to quote for in to the sleepy but pretty! village. There's a very well stocked bar, and some great cocktails on offer. The good is excellent (especially the duck) and the new chef as of summer 2017 had made all the difference. The owner is very friendly and speaks excellent English. This quickly became a favourite spot for an evening drink. Or three.
