Husband and wife team with some support staff. Super friendly. Everything is fresh and local. We actually went twice in the same week which is a rare event. Open to family, friends, kids, couples.
We couldn't get in here for dinner because they were closing at 8:45 pm the one night so we went back for lunch the next day and I'm so glad we did. I wouldn't miss this place if I went back to Provence! It's located near the edge of Maussane which is already a very small town and there is a charming courtyard where you eat lunch with a small fountain in the middle. The service was excellent, great wine list, and the food was very high quality. Everything was fresh, seasonal, and well-executed french dishes. We had the crab tartar with avocado and tomatoes, and then the salmon and the rabbit. Both dishes came with delicious mashed potatoes and very fresh vegetables. The portions were decent sized for France and the service was very fast compared to some of the other slower places we found in Provence. They also give you plenty of water which I found to be rare in the south of France and this makes it enjoyable to sit outside in the shade even though the temperatures were 95 degrees. This was one of my favorite meals on our whole trip and it was just a simple long relaxing lunch.
While staying in Paradou, we had dinner at this restaurant. The restaurant offers inside and outside seating. We decided on inside seating since it was a bit windy. The interior is nice and cozy. Food is very well elaborated and excellent quality. Good selection of wines. I would give this restaurant an excellent review, if it wasnt for the attitude of the staff. Staff not very friendly, included the lady owner, whom it was a bit dry and serious. Other than that, I would recommend going due to the high quality of food. They close on wednesdays and thursdays. We have been warmly welcomed without reservation at a big table. The food is amazingly good and presented in a superb way. Deserts deserve a try! Bravi! Well done!
