We liked this place for its good cooking, simple menu, personal service and we can BYO without the cork fee. There are only 3 seatings an evening and can take 10 or so people. This is cash only. They are very personal here at this 1850's farm house. View all feedback.
What IndigoSky2015 doesn't like about Iron Skillet:
If you want a unique place to have dinner, this is it, but don't go for the food. You are sure to leave knowing every diner's name after you share a few laughs. It is an experience to be in the home of people who serve you dinner. The surroundings need a good dusting and cleaning. The desserts are trying to pretend to be gourmet are no more than old favorite recipes you find on the boxes of either My-T-Fine and Bisqu... View all feedback.
I liked it. it was an interesting experience. I felt like I was eating in somebody else's dining Room. Conversation definitely flowed looking at all the interesting Knick knacks that line the Room. Curated over many years. Absolutely a definitely must do me. Definitely recommend call ahead.

What a cozy, little place! Wonderful atmosphere surrounded by delicious home made food. A limited menu, with a few selections that must be pre-ordered. Recommended, the Pot Roast, delicious, tender and flavorful. The rack of Baby Lamp Chops, cooked to perfection. Salmon served with ginger soy sauce and Crab Cakes ala Joe were very tasty. Simple desserts are offered as well. Chocolate cake, New York style Cheesecake and Strawberry Shortcake. All made fresh. Bob, your host, is very friendly. It's like eating at a family members house. In closing, make a reservation well in advance, as the Iron Skillet is only open on weekend nights. Btw, the I.S. is a BYOB kind of place. Enjoy a very unique evening!
Had our first meal here tonight and will definitely drive back 2 hours for another. The pot roast and bolognese was out of this world. Next time we will definitely order the ribs and rack of lamb. (Must order them when making reservations) see you soon Bob!
