Cajun Belly - Matteson

Catfish and shrimp combo: half of a catfish fillet and 5 shrimp. SALTY and OVERPRICED. Not worth $16.50. Don't waste your money!

So I usually take pictures but I didn't this time. I wasn't impressed with the combo special #2 which is the king crab, shrimp, sausage, potato (not potatoes because I had 1 potato) and broccoli.The sauce was more of a gravy, which was salty and not flavorful! There wasn't much shrimp maybe 5-7 total. Tons of sausage that was salty. The broccoli was probably the best thing in the seafood boil. The king crab was cold. This definitely wasn't $47 worth of food. The drink was the only thing good that I ordered.

Out running errands and we decided to order online and take home. The ordering process was super easy and our food was ready when we got there. I was wondering why there were only two patrons there and now I know why! Got home and opened the bag and noticed there was more food than expected and more sauce than before. Now the bad news....while the crab and clams were a little salty i attributed that to the sauce unfortunately that was not the case. After 45 minutes i had terrible stomach pain and got violently sick. This was the only meal i had since breakfast 10 hours prior. I am more than sure it was the crabmeat and probably the clams. I feel they were old and they tried to get rid of them which is why there was so much sauce added to cover up the salty taste of bad meat. My husband is livid and I'm still not 100%. I will NEVER...EVER...NEVER put myself or anyone I know at risk by going back to this place. Im thinking the health department may need to make a visit...i wish i could give zero stars but it wont let me

4 skimpy pieces of chicken tenders and fish. Doesn't taste bad but quantity can be more

Tasty food nice atmosphere! Delicious! Truly lived up to the Cajun banner!
