A place I have conscious memory of coming to since the 80's, Riverview offers great burgers, hot dogs, fries, and of course, poutine, all on a lovely setting overlooking the shores of the Ottawa river and across to wild Quebec. I was fortunate to be able to sate my culinary desires just a few days ago. For the first time in two years, I was pleased to see my old Mattawa poutinery had survived the pandemic. What User doesn't like about Riverview Chipstand:
Nice place, super friendly, lovely view of the river and a well set up picnic area. The food was satisfying. Since it was our first visit we ordered a bacon cheeseburger, with everything on it, and a side of fries, this is our measuring stick for all chip stands. All acceptable, and fill the gap. The bun fell apart, so maybe toasting it, or a more sturdy bread would do better. Pretty darn good otherwise! View all feedback.

One of the best fries ever. Nice and hot too. Staff were also top notch. Great job!
Finally decided to try this place. Gravy was okay but fries were not what I was expecting. Not as fluffy, wonder if they cut fresh or frozen? It had a lot of other traffic while we were there, we did not try anything aside the poutine but they did have a large menu
Excellent fries and very large portions. Plus it's a really nice location to relax while you're on a road trip.
Been going there since I was a child. Used to be owned by friends of my family. The new owners kept the poutine just as good as before. One on my favorite spots to eat for the last 20 years!
