We were seated and then no one came to wait on us. After 15 minutes I got the attention of a waitress. She said someone would be over shortly. In the meantime another couple was seated next to us. Our waitress came to the table and apologized. She said the hostess didn't tell her she seated us. What happened next was she took our order and instead of putting it right in she turned to the table that was just seated an... View all feedback.
What DonnaD doesn't like about The Inn On Shipyard Park:
Usually posting positive reviews, I regret to write this. Not a fan of dining in “the blue room”. No ambiance. Have enjoyed meals there in the past which are no longer on the menu. Both our fish dinners were less than average. Fish quality was good, but preparation was very heavy-thick sauce-and taste was not great. Potato smash very disappointing. View all feedback.
I didn 't stay here but I/we ate at the restaurant on 2 different occasions. Food was delish both times. I got the crabcake sandwich one time yum and apple maple french toast ? the next, both very good. One friend got fish and chips and kept saying mmmm with every bite, declaring it fresh and excellent after clearing her plate. Two other friends got veggie burger and omlette and agreed we should visit again. We sat inside one time and out the other, both enjoyable. Waitstaff are very nice, attentive and do a good job. Street parking but not bad. Wheelchair access through back and into dining room. Directly across from Shipyard Park so nice easy access if attending an event there.
Lovely restaurant in a lovely area. My family all enjoyed their meals, and my husband who needs to eat gluten free esp loved that he was able to have the parmesan fries (dedicated fryer! with his burger (on a GF bun . My fish tacos were delicious. It was a little pricy, but not bad for a touristy area and the food service was excellent. We were on the early side, so it was pretty quiet.

Although there's no more outdoor dining since COVID, dining on the indoor porch just as nice on sultry summer days. Outstanding attentive staff with minimal wait for meals. Big kudos for yummy signature libation, fresh watermelon sangria!
We recently had the pleasure of a wonderful six night stay here at The Inn. For a structure built in the 1700s, I have to say that other than some to be expected slanted floors and doors, our room was very well appointed, comfortable and very clean. We especially liked having a Kcup machine in our room and the ability to sit at our own table and chairs on the roof deck above the newly expanded porch area. The Inn's dinning menu recently rotated to their Summer fare which we loved thoroughly. On Sunday we hosted ten of our local relatives for Brunch at The Inn. Everyone was extremely pleased with their food and the service that was provided. Keep up the good work Chrissie, Jon and Andrea and we will see you again soon. Special shout out to the best bartenders and mixologists Jeff and Meg. Slainte!
