What User doesn't like about Storyhouse Cafe:
lemonade was in the ground water with lemon, mandelkuchen was dry, and the tomato soup was not seasoned. also really dim personal. I came after the camping in kamikochi. since I have eaten less than usual in the mountains, I have ordered 2 netzen (I am a big guy so that this should not seem strange), but the server thought I have changed my mind in the middle of the order and made a damper. then they brought my cake... Great location, really wonderful cafe with many tables. We ordered the hut cake, salmon bag and tuna bag. It was all delicious! It came with a side salad and yogurt and granola. I had coffee that was wonderful! We were through Matsumoto and will definitely return when we go through!
The food and drinks are great, the guesthouse is cozy, and the owners (Chris and Kumi) are the sweetest people you'll ever meet. A lot of cool and interesting events on the weekend. Definitely check this place out.
We really enjoyed the ambiance of this cafe that we went there twice when we were in Matsumoto. There was a group of friends playing Irish music it was truly welcoming and homey. Ordered their Pulled Pork twice too! Lol
Great little cafe with live music on Nawate-dori. Owner is from Seattle so pour over coffee is excellent and a really good western menu for lunch/dinner. They also have breakfast sets in the morning (until 11:00 AM) with option of homemade bagel and jam or granola/yogurt. Definitely worth a visit!
Lovely cafe in Matsumoto: the bagels were tasty, the coffee (homemade) very good and easy to drink, and the two owners super friendly and easy to talk to. Owning myself a ukulele I would have joined the ukulele club session they seem to have should I have lived in Matsumoto. Definitely will try to come back if I’m in the area.
