Mugg Bean - Matroosfontein

We had a meal before our flight this evening and it was one of the freshest dishes I've ever had at any Mugg & Bean. Ellias provided excellent service and we will definitely be returning for another meal soon.

I went to this restaurant with my family before my sister's flight. The trout bagel and chicken and mayo sandwich were delicious, although I felt there were fewer chips on the plate than usual. We also ordered scones, but there was not enough cream, jam, and butter, making them dry and unappetizing. The presentation of the cream on the plate was poorly done. The restaurant was busy but not overcrowded. Our waiter seemed to be all over the place, making it difficult to find him when we needed something. Service could definitely be improved, as we asked for a side plate that was never brought. Despite these issues, I would come back because I love the Mugg and Bean franchise, but if the service and food are the same next time, I may not return to this specific branch.

The Mugg Bean franchise stands out for its quality, and if you are looking for a restaurant to grab something to eat or drink before your flight and you are flying domestic, then the Mugg Bean located within the Domestic Terminal at the Cape Town International airport is a great option. The restaurant is spacious with a variety of different seating options catering for smaller as well as larger groups. They have a menu that basically guarantees that everyone will find something they like, and to top it off they have a nice selection of drinks including some local craft beers. Our waiter was also very friendly so overall we had a very good experience.

Every time we are at the airport, we make sure to stop for a drink, depending on the weather – either a hot or cold one! Today, March 9th, 2019, it's definitely time for some breakfast cappuccinos. This place is always bustling with customers, but the staff is efficient and the restaurant is very clean. The meals served here are always incredibly delicious, with a wide variety to choose from. Today, we're enjoying some serious cappuccinos and small cappuccinos for the ladies. Our breakfast includes a croissant with cheese and jam, rye bread toasted with bacon, poached eggs with tomato salsa, and smashed avocado with poached eggs on whole wheat toast. Everything is so delicious, just as we remember it. We always enjoy our time here and highly recommend this restaurant. They also offer a variety of freshly baked cakes that look delicious – we will definitely be trying them soon!
