Mcdonald's - Mathis

Hey, it's McDonald's.... The staff at the drive thru is usually pretty efficient. The cheeseburgers I get due to ease of eating while driving are always exactly the same. Just how I like em... Haven't changed a bit since I was a kid. French fries SUCK ever since they quit cooking them in the unhealthy animal fat. (years ago, nothing to do with this location) Self ordering touch screen on the inside of the building. Interesting, yet annoying. It's classic McDonald's food, but the experience has changed. The staff used to maintain higher standards, but it seems that lately, they aren’t as friendly or attentive. There have been times when they don't even acknowledge you when you walk in, which is disappointing. Overall, I'd rate the food a 4, the service a 3, and the atmosphere a 4.

This is a great stop for those immersed in the Zen of the high-speed cross-country run. Pull in start tanking up and while tanking walk into the McDonald's pick up your order then back outside to unplug from the gas and you're back on the highway kaboom
