Was Vonda Krauser at Butter's Bbq a mag?
This was my first visit to this restaurant. The food was excellent, especially the extra marble brisket which was very satisfying. The corn was also better than what I've had in the past. The prices were a bit higher than I anticipated, but the staff was very polite. View all feedback.
What MenuPix User dislikes about Butter's Bbq:
I ordered two plates, one with brisket meat and two sides, without drinks because I couldn't afford it as my bill was $35! This high price was due to the lack of drinks and dessert, and the sides were also disappointing. The potato salad had no flavor, the beans were overly salty with a strong vinegar taste, and the rice was overly seasoned with cumin. The restaurant lacked a cool seating area, only offering a screen... View all feedback.
The barbecue at this place is amazing, despite its remote location. The staff were friendly and happy to discuss their barbecue and other famous BBQ spots in Texas. The brisket was perfectly seasoned and tender. The sausage had a good flavor, but could have been better. The ribs were the highlight, incredibly tender and flavorful. I would definitely return if I happened to be in the area again.
I visited the restaurant on a Sunday at 12:30 in the afternoon. If you're not a local, it may be hard to find as there is no sign. However, once you locate it, there is plenty of parking. There is a drive-thru for ordering but I preferred to dine inside. The restaurant has a cozy seating area with wooden tables, shielded from the April heat. Inside, there is a single line where you can place your order. It's worth noting that this place is a Texas Monthly top 50 barbecue joint, so there may be a wait. The brisket was moist and flavorful, and the ribs were fall-off-the-bone tender. I also tried the jalapeño Chesewurst, which was okay. The barbacoa tacos were very good. The brisket beans and potato salad were tasty sides. The setup of the restaurant was not fancy, with a single restroom in the work area. Overall, I would rate the food a five but the setup a four, so I give it four stars. I purchased extra brisket and barbacoa tacos to go and was pleased with my experience. I will definitely be returning.
This was my first time at this restaurant and I must say the service was excellent. The staff were beautiful people. I had the foursome platter with turkey, ribs, brisket, and sausage with 2 sides. The meats were tender, juicy, and well-seasoned. The turkey had a light smoky taste, possibly from being cooked alongside the brisket. The brisket was firm and not chewy, although it had a bit too much fat for my liking. I didn't care for the cole slaw, but the baked beans and potato salad were different from what I usually have, not bad just not my favorite. Overall, I enjoyed my meal and will definitely be returning. I highly recommend this place!
There was no jalapeño sausage available, and they did not have Dr. Pepper in cans or bottles. The older gentleman working there seemed to be in a bad mood and was rushing customers to order their food. The floors were in need of a good cleaning, and the tables and benches were sticky.
I had high expectations for this restaurant because it was featured in Texas Monthly. The customer service was good and the store was clean. However, I was disappointed with the food. It lacked any smoky flavor or seasonings, and the potato salad was bland. While the meat was tender, it too was lacking in flavor.
