There are some steps to enter the restaurant. Restaurant was clean with good service and the building itself was very typical of Matera, seems like you have entered a big cave. Ideal for couples and business meeting. The food was genuine and typical southern Italian style (meat balls were very delicious), however, the menu did not include items for children. No pizza or nuggets/burger.
I went to this undefined Place on advice of some Friends involved into local social and political local Life. I expected a real ethic bistrot but I see use of plastic, craft beer that nobody was able to explain, some workers with slide on feet. I didn't feel confident during the dinner and food offer was really boring. IT's not enough. Sorry
The most delicious authentic local food. We were grateful to stumble upon it after our tour of Matera.
Fashionable spot with impressive interior located at an ideal location for having lunch/dinner while exploring the Sassi, rock churches or Museum of Contemporary Sculpture (highly recommend! A fair few vegan options. Bruschetta for €5 is better value than many places in the area although the 22% service charge adds a considerable hidden cost. The bruschetta wasn’t seasoned as well as I would have liked.
Wow, we had a super meal at this place. We picked two things on the menu, marked vegan, to try. When we told them that we were vegan and interested in trying local food, they also suggested another dish on the menu (marked vegetarian) and offered to make it vegan. So, we tried three vegan dishes, which were all fresh and excellent.
