Park Place Diner - Matawan

Nice looking place and staff was friendly although the waitress was inexperienced and couldn't tell us anything about the food. The problem was that the food was not very good, utterly lacking in finesse in taste and presentation. A plain Patty and cheap tasting bun with onion rings on the bun, iceberg lettuce, some so-so whiskey sauce on the side, limited condiments, no onions, pickles etc. I had the salad and woke up vomiting later that night. We would not go back, and in fact, it was so disappointing we swore off restaurants for the rest of our trip and stuck to deli takeout from Whole Foods.

Never consistent whether food or service. Some Servers are polished while others are not. One time the Server was covered in beads of sweat, and wasn't crazy about him handling our fiod.

Large portions and reasonable prices for grest American food. My party of 5 ordered 3 burgers, a cobb salad, and chicken panini. All were amazing. Will definitely return after another trip to the beach.

My husband and I frequent here a lot, great service always, great food, one of the best diners in our area. Love the specials to order from.

Waiter wasn't the best. Food is always good. My son loves this diner! We were overcharged but the manager made up for it.
