The best restaurant of Mataró, it’s new location is amazing and the food continue being outstanding. The chef, Pepi, continue making every dish a festival of sensations, the service is very good. They deserve a Michelin star soon.

I took my brother to Barcelona airport and we stopped for lunch prior to the flight. The restaurant is in the centre of Mataro (20 minutes from airport). Great service and the menu for the day was excellent. 25 euros/person 6 choices per course. They do not speak much English but it was sufficient to make our meal a very pleasurable experience. They did provide an english translated menu. Beautifully presented well seasoned and the correct amount for lunch.

Festival menu; plenty of food, very good in taste. The service for 7 people was slow, and a few portions were misplaced and forgotten during the service. The introduction to foods was inadequate. The stuff only speaks spanish, only a little in english.

Sangiovese is a restaurant located in the center of Mataró, the main town in Maresme region, near Barcelona. It is a restaurant, where you can taste some Mediterranean and European modern dishes. In fact, the next month the restaurant are going to change the place, where it is located and they decide to do the Sangiovese Forever Menu with the best dishes that they created in the last ten years. We came here to taste this menu and it was very good. some of the dishes in the menu were foie salad, tuna tataki, egg with truffle , cannelonni of foie, fish of the day or fresh meat. Also we tasted two excellent wines (especially tge red one), a white one and a red one called Parvus. Very good lunch, but it could be better. Some of the dishes can do improved and for me, the rate quality/pricr also can be improved (total: almost 80€/menu with wines).
