Riotel Matane‎ (n° Etablissement 58914)

A lovely modern hotel right by the water. If you want a sea view (much preferred), I recommend booking far in advance. Our last minute plans ensured a city view and while that is technically accurate, there is a very noisy highway between the hotel and city. The rooms are very clean. The restaurant staff and cleaning staff are very friendly. Reception staff look a little weary and tired. No doubt covid has contributed to this malaise.

We spent 3 nights here in September 2021.We had a 3rd floor room facing the water. It was such a great view. We were able to leave the door open slightly while we slept to hear the waves all night long. It was very peaceful.The room design was very nice. Very clean, great water pressure and a good little fridge. [We did have to adjust the temperature in the fridge to cool it a little more than the lowest setting]. The bed and pillows were very comfortable.We really enjoyed Matane and staying here made our trip even better! I highly recommend it.

This is a beautiful hotel , tight by the St Lawrence Segway, some rooms gave a water view. You can walk on the beach And enjoy it to the max. And even walk in the water. Very nice staff at the hotel . Great prices.

Overall it was good. The room was a bit small but the decor looked new and clean. We chose City view which was actually facing the road. Our room were located on the first floor. We could park our car outside our room. It looked like motel style but it was quite convenient. We didn't hear any noise although it was expected to have traffic in parking area. Another good thing was the indoor swimming pool. This was a rare feature around this area.

My father and his friends were here, while on their snowmobile journey beginning februar 2022. they only had the best experience! the personal was professional, courteous and helpful. they will definitely go back!
