La Table Du Capitaine Gourmand

Located in Matane, this charming seasonal restaurant is operated by the Riotel hotel and offers a menu of fresh, inspired dishes including salads, pizza, pasta, burgers, and seafood options. The interior is decorated in a nautical-maritime style, but the real highlight is the outdoor patio-terrace facing the St Lawrence River. With tables overlooking the large sandy beach, diners can enjoy the sights, sounds, and scents of the ocean. While the service was a bit slow during our visit, we still enjoyed a delicious meal outside in the sun. I highly recommend trying the Matane shrimp club sandwich with a side salad for a unique dining experience right on the water's edge. It felt like a mini holiday dining here and watching the ferry and boats pass by.
