What Michelle S doesn't like about Golden P A M:
This place offers mainly chinese food along with burgers and sandwiches. Food is ok and the prices are half decent, BUT the restaurant itself is filthy so I suggest you don't look at your surroundings too closely before you eat. View all feedback.
Love!! When I go out to eat with my kiddos, this is where we go :
This restaurant serves my favorite Chinese food. The presentation is not extravagant, but the flavors are excellent. The portion sizes are decent, although they could be a bit larger. The prices vary depending on what you order, but I don't mind paying a little extra because I haven't found another Chinese place that tastes better. Philip, the cook, does a great job. His egg rolls are thin and crunchy on the outside with delicious flavors inside. They are best enjoyed with plum sauce, soy sauce, and sriracha. The dry boneless dish is incredible when paired with garlic salt and soy sauce. The honey garlic dish is also delicious and goes well with special fried rice. I always order a side of sweet and sour sauce to pour over my rice or noodles, it adds so much flavor. The Salt and Pepper Prawns are a must-try for a spicy treat, although they are on the pricier side. The War wonton has an extra kick when paired with sriracha and soy sauce, and even the plain wonton is satisfying for a quick snack. Enjoy!
The food is delicious and the staff is very friendly. This place is a popular choice among locals.
The food at this restaurant is just as delicious as I remember from my childhood.
Beggars can 't be choosers when it comes to dinner in Masset. It 's crapshoot. Everything was closed on Sunday night everything meaning there aren 't more than a tiny handful of restaurants and food trucks whose hours are basically arbitrary and unknowable . The only ! place open was PAM, and we went in thinking what the h ? . Service was slow, but the chicken and cashews and chicken chop suey came loaded with fresh vegetables, not greasy at all. We were ecstatic, sort of. Our only complaint? Rice doesn 't come with the meal; you have to order it as an extra item ? . And, as with most places in Haida Gwaii, the prices are pretty high, especially for Chinese food. 3-plus stars for the food, and another half for just being open!
