We went the Fox Hound because it was the only place still available for a Mother's Day lunch. Poor planning on my part. I will start by saying that the service was extremely slow. Awful experience. The staff blamed it on a cook quitting. Our food was atrocious. I called the next day to explain the situation and the manager offered a gift card that I never received. We went there on Christmas Day. I’ll never be back. View all feedback.
The reason for the low evaluation was lack of social distancing and some of the waiting workers carry their face masks under their nose. Moreover, our order was mixed and it took another 20 minutes to get the right replacement?.
I like the food offering and beer selections. Happy hour is decent. The food was just OK. The cheeseburger sliders had absolutely no flavor. They really need to make their place more visible. It can barely be seen from the main road which is very busy. It is also hard to see once you get back into the parking lot area. A new better sign is highly suggested.
Our server was attentive. Our food came out in a timely manner. Both of our meals were good. We haven’t been there for awhile and we’re glad we gave it another chance.
Unfortunately, though I have had some good experience going to the Fox Hound at after work event, my first time going to dine there with our group of three was a disaster. Our server got multiple parts of the order wrong, forgetting to ask the kitchen to not include green onions on our tater tots, bring all the food out at once, and forgetting to put our to go order in that we asked her to put in when our entrees came. More than that until I confronted the staff, they did not admit to us that they had forgotten rather when we asked for our to go order and the check, they disappeared for 20 minutes. The parm fries were COVERED in parm cheese hastily done. The fish and chips the fish was overbooked, brown almost burnt. And the broccoli side came out with HUGE pieces of garlic, not even mentioned on the menu. We never saw our server, and had to ask at the hostess station. The manager on duty at the end of the meal apologized, but not before we had decided this was a one and done experience. Which is too bad, since the actual restaurant itself is quite nice. While i can easily overlook a mistake, if a restaurant makes and admits it, but there were MANY mistakes, and the dishonesty about the fact they forget to put the to go order in makes it certain that the F H won 't get a second change from me.
Surprisingly good food for a sports bar, great service, clean.
