What Lewis Rhames doesn't like about The Hideaway:
Such a waste. Decent food, large portions, friendly servers, but the filth.. the filth. Does no one notice the flies everywhere like some kind of horror movie? My breakfast today included more hair than I usually include in my diet. Of course there's no hair net on the long-haired cook, that would be following laws and health codes. I tried, gave these folks my money several times, and I won't do it again. How do the... View all feedback.
Had the chicken fried steak. It was pretty good. The ****** Mary's were good, too. It was kind of busy when I went so the server was really busy with other tables.
Diner food its finest. Service was great!! Blonde server named Stacey/ Stephanie, I think? Regardless, worth a stop.
Jr 's Hideaway was the perfect place to enjoy good food with great service in a very welcoming atmosphere. There was a motto behind the bar, There are no strangers here, just friends that have not met which was fitting. The staff were rather accommodating and expedient. The special for the evening was a meatball sub with choices for a side. The fries were above average but the homemade ranch that they make is absolutely the best ranch I have ever had in my life! The meatballs were homemade and just the perfect consistency. Still juicy but cooked all the way through. The marinera was flavorful and the bun was lightly toasted. It was incredible at a great price!
Was a very nice place to take my Mother for lunch. Awesome staff and great food!
The Hideaway fits this place perfectly. It 's located just a bit south out of downtown Belfair. It 's a restaurant and bar. Not a fancy place, but food is very good and portions are great for the money. Drink prices are very fairly priced. I 've had lunch and dinner here, but they 're a favorite breakfast place of mine. When it comes to their omelettes, unless you have a big stomach you 'll be taking home leftovers they 're so big. Nice lean bacon. Most times they do well at cooking a good steak to the temp you request. I think the bar is bigger than the restaurant section with several TV 's and 2 pool tables. UPDATE: May 2024 I had previously left a review that was excellent for service, but unfortunately I have to lower that rating. But the blame has more to do with the owners than the employees. I would highly AVOID this place if the parking lot is fairly full! I stopped in to have one drink and get 1 food order to-go. I sat in the large bar area (I estimate minimum capacity of 50 , the restaurant portion probably close to only 1/2 that) and 1st had to wait 10mins to get a drink. It wasn 't the bartender 's fault. She was super busy with no cocktail waitress or even a fill-in waitress to take or deliver food to the many eating in the bar. Apparently, the owner 's have NEVER made available extra help in the bar! When I finally got a drink I ordered my food immediately without a menu to get my order in right away. I waited an additional 30-35mins to finally get my food. I was informed there were even 2 cooks on duty! Again, busy or not, they appeared to be missing the necessary procedures to keep ticket times down to a reasonable time. So, in total, I waited over 40mins for a single drink a single food order. Though I didn 't want another drink the bartender was never able to get back to my table to even see if I did. To finalize the extremely poor experience, when I mentioned to the bartender the time I waited and that this wasn 't really acceptable, a patron at the back of the bar overheard me and began yelling at me across the bar calling me a liar that I 'd waited that long! I told the loud mouth that I had timed it on my phone, which I had, but she continued yelling at me. The owner 's are at fault for this entire horrible visit. They should be able to look at the cash register sales to figure out the very busy times and have extra help during those times even if it is only a couple of hours and ticket times for 2 cooks should be an absolute maximum of 20 mins. If the owner 's can 't figure this out on their own, then maybe they should call in John Taffer from Bar Rescue to teach them!
