At first, we were skeptical when we arrived at 5:30 on a Saturday night because the restaurant seemed empty. I decided to order the three-piece cod and chips, which I found to be quite tasty for the price of $13.00. My partner ordered the jambalaya, which he enjoyed despite finding it very spicy. We started our meal with fried okra as an appetizer, but it was disappointing as it tasted like the frozen okra I usually buy. The mayonnaise was labeled as tartar sauce but had a hint of spice. The Jumbo-Cid-Dinner we ordered was overcooked and almost black in color. It came with a few fries and what seemed like day-old coleslaw that lacked flavor. Not to worry, I'll be fine. Very tasty, great service. The shrimp Po boy was great but was a bit skimpy on the shrimp. The hush puppies were spot on.
