Another great lunch stop - we enjoyed two different delicious soups with GF bread & butter, then excellent strong coffee with a shared fresh scone with jam & cream - all for $40 total. And, yes, our precious pet's picture was up on the wall! View all feedback.
What User doesn't like about Meridian Cafe:
Almond salad with cheap gray almond milk. No. This is a shame as I generally bought Fish Rivers roast coffee elsewhere. Meal was terrible. A barely reheated lumpy rice blob curry. I couldn't eat it. It's horrible. Partners who eat everything could not. Other semi-burgers looked gray like a frozen supermarket. Very inconspicuous waste of money. I went out and left most of it. And I never make reviews!! View all feedback.
Café by day, Indian restaurant by night As a café it's as good as you'd wish for on the road. Decent coffee, excellent hamburgers and toasties And a big, welcoming smile from the staff (Some day, maybe, we'll get a chance to try the restaurant)
The staff at this restaurant is very friendly and provides good service. I tried the eggs on toast with extras and found it to be quite enjoyable. The caramelized mushrooms were cooked perfectly.
Meridian overlooks Marulan 's quiet main street but is just a minute from the highway. It 's got a large and nice indoor area and a few street tables. The coffee 's hot, creamy and syrupy but maybe a little weak, and expensive (although maybe standard price for the country). The food seems much better priced by country standards, although my 'croque monsieur ' had no cheese on the outside, plain brown bread, and appeared to have been cooked in a sandwich press, so I don 't see what distinguished it from the items on the menu that were actually called 'toasties '. Good ingredients though, including bechamel sauce.
After initially having doubts due to a negative review, I was pleasantly surprised by the fantastic food, coffee, and service at Meridian. I would highly recommend stopping by Marulan for breakfast or lunch.
Great country town cafe. Try the Naked wagyu beef burger with spicy chutney. All burgers available naked, half naked or traditionally with top and bottom buns. Meridian also stock Milk Lab Almond milk and the Vittoria coffee is always great.
