I?ve tried a lot of BBQ places and let me tell you this place was so good! Their meat was moist and the flavor of the pepper from the brisket just burst in your mouth. And the pulled pork was cooked perfectly. And let me just say they have the best cornbread I?ve ever had in my life and that?s a lot considering I?ve eaten cornbread from Georgia, South Carolina, and Virginia. Hands down amazing. The restaurant was welcoming and warm to come in to. We both ordered the two meat with one side. So much food! We shared all the meats to try the all the types. We had pork belly, pulled pork , beef brisket and chicken. My favorite was the pulled pork and my husband liked the chicken best. All were delicious! I got the Mexican corn which was excellent and my husband had the baked macaroni. Delicious. They had a bluegrass band which we really enjoyed. The owner sat down at the table and talked to us. Really nice hardworking guy we felt. We will surely go back but will probably just share a two meat platter and each get a side. We had two meals in the meals we each purchased . We will surely return!! Keep up the good cooking Travis and Kelly!! I loved your restaurant.
We stopped here for lunch on a Friday and shared an order of Brisket, mac and cheese and green beans. It is counter service. The Brisket was OK, nothing spectacular, same for Mac and cheese. The green beans were too salty for my taste but my husband ate them. The restaurant is a mishmash of all kinds of memorabilia a bit overwhelming for my taste. There is a lunch for Veterans that I think is on Wednesday which is nice. Overall, I don't think I'd make a point to return.
Definitely recommend the rack of ribs. They were really tender and fell right off the bone! The pulled pork was ok but stringy and hard. I felt it was very expensive for a self serve restaurant/bar. The place was empty but the table we sat at was dirty, and no napkins.
Fantastic smoked meats, fun live music, very dog-friendly, great vibe. Travis, the owner, was extremely friendly, welcoming, and helpful. We loved it, can't wait to come back!
This place is fantastic! It's like if I was asked to describe the perfect BBQ spot. Killer menu, don't sleep in the burnt ends. Full bar. All the patriotism this American can take. Can't ask for anything better, except more time of from work so I can go more often.
