I love to come here because everyone is always friendly, our server was so nice and very attentive to us. What Chris Burg doesn't like about Cracker Barrel Old Country Store:
Well my family and order the Easter feast serving 8-10. This our third time we have done this. Thanksgiving and Christmas being the other two. Unlike the first two not everything was excellent. Two of the items were definitely different. The mac and cheese tasted like it was out of a can or box with cheap cheese and I was told the sweet potato casserole wasn’t as good as the first two. I'm not a huge fan. the hollow ceilings make your dining experience like eating in a cafeteria.
It's more like a diner now. They took many great items off the menu.
I ended up not ordering a meal for myself as I wasn’t going to pay extra for them to delete an ingredient from my food. I asked for burnt/black French toast instead and it was not cooked correctly. My daughter’s meal came with 2 biscuits and gravy so that is what I ate instead. I now know not to go here for breakfast again.
I sat there for 15 minutes with my Four Year old baby girl 10-15 mins passed we didn’t even get offered a drink by a server, now during these 15 mins I watched several people get seated and get drinks and order food, I couldn’t believe it. Not going to write a book about it. I just won’t return to any Cracker Barrel ever again and that’s always been a place I go eat no matter what city or state.
Always friendly staff. No waiting time to be seated. Food has always been A+. Just tried the mimosas and they were also top notch good. The gift shop is nicely displayed with new items every time I go.
