We have loved this location from when it was Dempsey's. When it closed I felt a little loss for a much-loved diner. I have been going to Columbia Diner for a couple of years, and the food is always exceptional, the girls serving know and greet me every single time. The coffee is very good and the servers very attentive to check if you need your cup topped off. There are other diners I've gone to where they also fry t... View all feedback.
What Mahlon Hollar doesn't like about Columbia D:
Great food the server Tonya was great making sure we had everything and we where takin care of the one thing that concerns me is how Geedo pushed Tonya out of the way when she was cashing someone out and told her to move I felt bad for her when she did to him to be treated that way i feel no one should be treated that way for no reason View all feedback.
Everything felt dirty as soon as I walked in. As far as diners go, I'll stick with Neptune.

This place if ok but one thing that concerns me is how employees treat one another like how a guy waiter pushed the host out of the way and told her to move when all she was doing was cashing someone out that ordered food I just found that disrespectful no one should be treated that way
Fantastic food. I highly recommend this restaurant for any meal.
Absolutely fantastic! It's definitely worth a visit. Very extensive menu with LOTS of options as well as rotating specials. My server was very sweet and attentive. The only reason I could not give her a 5 star or compliment her by name was the fact that she never did introduce herself. Other than that, she was fabulous. I went off my comfort route of trying a burger to establish where a place stands to try one of the specials. I chose the Columbia Chicken entrée. Just an FYI, there IS a sandwich on their menu that goes by the same name, but this was a dinner. It came with a soup or salad as well as two vegetables. I chose a soup of the day, lobster bisque, mashed potatoes and gravy, and cucumber salad along with an unsweetened tea. The food was brought out very quickly and was hot and tasty. The lobster bisque was creamy, hot, and had just enough spice to it. The cucumber salad was very cold and tasty. The iced tea was sweet and delicious. Now for the entrée. The Columbia Chicken was absolutely magnificent, and I'm so glad that I chose to go down that road. It is grilled chicken breast smothered in lump crabmeat and topped off with broccoli and hollandaise sauce. The only reason I didn't give it a five-star was that I felt that the hollandaise sauce was missing something. Maybe it was just me, but I thought it could have had a little more bite to it. The dish was steaming hot and quite delicious. I was WAY too stuffed to try any desserts, but they seemed to have a substantial selection. The portions are very sizable, and the price was reasonable for today's inflation.
