Sunflower Garden - Martinez

I stumbled upon this restaurant just a short walk from the train station. I ordered a vegetarian chow mein lunch special, which was well-portioned and even came with a spring roll. The noodles were the best I’ve had in a long time—thick, chewy, and bursting with garlic flavor while still being quite filling. The hostess was incredibly friendly and went out of her way to provide extra soy sauce packets. My food arrived quickly and hot, with everything I needed for a great meal. I may not know much about Martinez, California, but I’ll definitely remember this city for its excellent Chinese restaurant near the train station!

We ordered takeout and were not disappointed. The portion sizes are generous. The sesame chicken was good, and my husband really enjoyed the chow mein. While the prices are slightly higher than some other nearby options, the quantity of food makes it worth the extra cost.

Honestly, it was the best Won Ton soup I've ever had! My husband really enjoyed the egg rolls, Kung Pao Tofu, and rice. I had to taste them too, and they were delicious as well. We will definitely eat here again. Highly recommended!

Gorgeously impressed! This place is amazing for lunch special.. great amount of food and taste? Delicious! Some of the freshest egg rolls I've had for a long time. The people who work here are amazing to...super polite and helful. overall a great 1st impression for us. Will visit again when safe in town. 2 sets of lunch special entree (not including the egg roll and soup that comes with the meal) , large portions, but not exaggerated either, only perfect hunan beef and kung pao chicken.

Best Chinese food in the whole area! Sweet and pungent chicken is amazing! They also have the best Mongolian beef I've ever had!
