What Julie Furminger doesn't like about Fig Tree Cafe:
Off season on Cape Cod and my husband and I were turned away because the only open table (right next to the front door) was a 4-top... and we were told they wanted to keep that open in case a larger party comes in. Our choice was to wait (the two tops were just served) or sit in front of a large glass window bar area with 40° temps outside. Left and got a wonderful breakfast at Morning Glory Cafe from welcoming hosts... View all feedback.
What a waste of time! The Service especially the hostess was extremely rude and indignant! Food took 40 minutes to be delivered and of course, it was cold, tasteless, and uninspiring much like the ambience of this unworthy establishment. Avoid like the plague!
I don't know how this place is so popular. the food is disgusting. my boyfriend and I ordered breakfast for pickup and the person on the phone was very kind and helpful so definitely not their fault. but when we actually picked up the food it was very gross. $15 for a steak and cheese breakfast burrito, upcharged for having steak, was hilarious. nearly the entire burrito was unseasoned eggs with a thin surrounding layer of also unseasoned beef. tasted like hot water. I don't know where they get off charging that much for steak when it's almost entirely eggs. home fries were undercooked and hard in the center. my partners bacon egg and cheese was fine but nothing to write home about. pretty disappointing, definitely overhyped by tourism since there's nothing else in marstons mills.
Cute little spot, came recommended to us while on vacation. I ordered the egg sandwich with house-made fig jam, caramelized onions, and arugula. Honestly, probably the best breakfast sandwich I got on the cape. Sandwich came with homefries...they were okay. Nice atmosphere and good service. I would come back again in the future.
I had the Irish Benedict. They made it gluten free and it was amazing!
I love this place! Staff are amazing. Inside is cute, comfortable, and feels like home. Food is fantastic with wonderful options. Coffee is great. This is my go to place to meet with a friend or go on a quick lunch date when I'm in the area. Stop in, it's worth it!
