This bakery is easy to pass by without noticing, but if you do stop you won't regret it. Very flaky pasties. They apparently supply other pastry shops. Not really a fancy setup for the walk in patron, but they will definitely take care of you. We now go out of our way to pass through Marshalltown just for Lara's Bakery. View all feedback.

I was grossed out to see their employee was handling the sweet bread with her bare hands . Then she comes to checkout to charge me and touch money with her bare HANDS.. i told never mind ????? View all feedback.
Decent corn based baked goods. A bit on the extra dry side. Not communicative unless you speak Spanish. Not overly sugared, which is nice.
Nice atmosphere, delicious breads, cookies, cakes and rolls. Stop by and treat yourself today.
Excellent bread, she is always trying new products, the staff has a positive attitude with a hello and all the help you need.
I go here every time I'm in town. Absolutely love it, everything they have is delicious and extremely inexpensive.
