I was eager to try Wendy's lunch menu, but they were still serving breakfast. When I called to ask when the menu would change, the staff said someone would handle it eventually. It wasn’t clear if the update was happening then or later. After waiting five minutes with no change, I decided to leave.
The staff were very professional and courteous, from the person taking my order to the kind lady who delivered my food. The food itself was excellent, and I received everything I ordered.
The inside of this Wendy's is still closed, so you can't go in to order. If your vehicle is too tall for the drive-thru, you're out of luck. It's hard to believe that two years after COVID, they still keep the dining area locked due to fear, especially when the nearby Walmart is packed with hundreds of unmasked people and no concerns. Then again, maybe it’s not just about COVID—another recent reviewer reported finding a roach in their food, so perhaps they’re afraid customers will see pests inside. Either way, I ended up going to Subway in Walmart instead. This Wendy's really should be shut down.
It seems that nearly every time I've visited this restaurant, I've encountered some sort of issue. Whether it's the register being out of order, a shortage of change forcing only credit card payments, understaffing causing delays in food service, or the speaker box not functioning correctly, there always seems to be a problem. To top it off, the staff at the drive-thru have been quite rude!
