Seriously, I had to eat with one hand and kee... read more The food was okay but quite honestly it was hard to enjoy because of so many flies landing on me and on my dinner. Seriously, I had to eat with one hand and keep a stack of napkins in my other hand to wave away the flies. It is definitely an ongoing problem. I've been here on more than one occasion, and I forget how an annoyance like that interferes with your ability to enjoy a meal. It makes you wonder what's going on in the back kitchen, and where all these flies are coming from. The service was okay, nothing special. The interior needs a good deep cleaning. the booth I was in had a cloth back which was stained and fairly filthy. I don't think the property is maintained and this is the responsibility of the owner/manager I can't fault the wait staff for this. I ordered steak and shrimp with an iced tea and the bill came to just under $40 before the tip. There was no charge for the flies. ; I feel like I am an easy reviewer and not very fussy but I will pick somewhere else to go next time I want to enjoy a meal out.

I made a reservation for some friends and I to have dinner and share stories at the Hitching Post. My husband propsed there and I asked to sit in the area where he proposed. Upon arrival not only were we sitting near where he proposed by they gifted me this candle and a sweet condolences card. Not only is the food amazing here, so are the people. Definitely recommend eating here.

Ther... read more We were seated in the corner and forgotten. Someone that seemed to be a manager asked us for a drink order, received the drinks, and no one ever came back. There were 2 waitresses that had attended to a table next to us 3 times. We were there for 20minutes. Even tried to stand at the bar to pay for the drinks and no one came up to us.

It was quite flavorless and came served nacho-style with a massive topping of shredded melted cheddar and Monterey Jack cheeses. Positives: Waitstaff was very polite and on the spot. I enjoyed the Country Kitchen Restaurant turned BBQ joint atmosphere and ease dropping on the conversations of the locals.
