This is a long overdue reviewField & Main is, perhaps, one of the finest restaurants in the DC area (still about an hour out).
We've been meaning to check this place out for a long time.
This is a solid 4-star restaurant, minus the pricesMy husband and I live in DC, and are used to moderately expensive nights out.
My expectation were high and they did not disappoint. Our server Crystal was the best! Chef created a special halibut entree for me that was not even on menu! Of course the wine selected was fabulous
Field Main is the boutique farm fresh meal you are looking for when you go to rustic Virginia towns. It's got nice touches throughout the restaurant, meals that you'll love, and an even better wine/cocktail selection. Gotta get the corn breadpudding!
