My expectation were high and they did not disappoint. Our server Crystal was the best! Chef created a special halibut entree for me that was not even on menu! Of course the wine selected was fabulous
Field Main is the boutique farm fresh meal you are looking for when you go to rustic Virginia towns. It's got nice touches throughout the restaurant, meals that you'll love, and an even better wine/cocktail selection. Gotta get the corn breadpudding!
Fantastic restaurant! In addition to lots of indoor seating, it has seven separate climate-controlled dining rooms kibanas that seat 4 to 10. Six can accommodate 6 at most, the other, 10, I think. The food was excellent. Pork chop, perhaps a bitrare for my taste.
Stopped in with my husband a couple weeks ago. Ordered the chef’s menu selection for dinner and we were thrilled with it… fun, creative, delicious courses. A great experience.
How can we safely eat out during a pandemic? Book a dining hut at Field Main in Marshall is an excellent way. The food is meticulously planned, prepared, and served. I had a dozen PEI (CDN) mussels as an appetizer. They were fabulously tender andtasty. My main course was a delicious monkfish covered by a thin Serrano ham slice on a bed of mashed potatoes with mushroomsproviding a delicate extra flavor. Every bite was wonderful. I had an Edna Valley (CA) Chardonnay to accompany myseafood. Dessert was a Goat Cheesecake with an ice cream roof. It was a fine end to a memorable meal. And our private diningroom kept us comfortable and safe on a chilly January evening.
