Intrigued by TA reviews, we sought out this 16-seat restaurant and were lucky enough to get the last table without a lunch reservation. All other patrons were locals. The owner-chef-waiter-busperson indeed did it all, preparing, delivering and clearing two tasty starters and mains by himself. As we were last to leave, we had a nice conversation and got a free sample of the distilled liqueur steeped in herbs sitting o... View all feedback.
What Kimberly B doesn't like about O'Bidul:
Nice owner/waiter/chef, but inedible food. Filo goat cheese starter was burnt. Garbanzo bean salad soupy. Steak couldn’t be cut it was so tough. French bread very stale. The reason I gave a 2, was the house wine, white and red both nice. Don’t waste your time and money. View all feedback.
Booked this restaurant to have dinner with a friend on our short trip to Marseille and it was nothing short of amazing. From the initial warm greeting from the chef, maître d, waiter all in one person, to the brilliant eating experience it truly is a restaurant to remember. The food was so tasty and with hearty portions, the menu choices were great and if I could have ordered a bit of everything I would have. I had the fish (maigre and it was just everything : thank you for a great experience, looking forward to visiting again.
We loved our dinner experience at O’bidul. We had a cheese croustillant and a quinoa salad with hareng as starters, then white tuna as meal. Everything was very tasty. The choice of local beers is incredible. We had a lot pleasure to drink : a white beer with pepper and two different blond beers with ginger. Dessert was also splendid : a chocolate “mi-cuit”. We will definitively recommend this restaurant to our friends.
Superb restaurant as we love them. Not a lot of cover, the chief takes care of everything! Thinking to book a little in advance ... it's always full!concerning the kitchen there's nothing to say ... it's just excellent!parly, big negative point that unfortunately a little bit gashed the meal: we took a bottle of red wine (short) that could have been excellent but it was served us in ambient temper (in times of high heat in the month of August). it was not at all fresh and it was not pleasant to drink ... it is really a pity for the 1st tripadvisor restaurant in Marseille. I hope that the chef will invest in a small wine cellar to keep his bottles at the expense: his value for money unbeatable!
Really a real pleasure, fresh well cooked product. The chef's welcome is really great. I recommend it
Located in a small street that does not pay a mine, this small restaurant of 30m2 reception 16 covers. the decor is refined, trendy. The chef offers a warm and smiling welcome. For the quality of the dishes, we discovered a menu with freshness of the dishes. Taste and flavours are exceptional. Reservation imperative. In view of a lack of space families with stroller are not too accessible. entrance, dish, dessert, rose carafe (0,50l) and 1 coffee 61€ excellent value price!
