Great lunch at Limmat! Very short menu, top-quality ingredients, nice little terrace on the steps near Cours Julien. A great place to remember in Marseille!
The most highly rated restaurant in all of Marseille. I feel like a rabbit. Almost all the dishes were raw, barely seasoned vegetables. The white asparagus dish contained only ONE asparagus spear, and not even the tip, just the fibrous base. The service was incredibly nonchalant. Maybe there's been a recent improvement in quality, as others have mentioned, but I really don't understand the hype, and I'm still hungry.
The food at limmat is fresh, zingy and delicious. We came twice during our stay and the menu changes every day. We tried so many flavour combinations using gorgeous fresh vegetables, herbs and fish. The chefs are truly talented and the front of house staff are lovely.
We tried the whole lunch menu, three starters and two mains. Both the fish and vegetarian dishes were fresh, inventive, and full of flavor. The menu is small and changes daily, so there’s not a huge amount of choice, but everything we had was excellent. Sitting is a bit tight and the wine glass could definitely be bigger. It’s a small place, I’d recommend booking ahead.
