La Buvette Du Lac - Marseille

We had eaten here last year and enjoyed the food but found the barman to be excessively surly and the overall attitude of the wait staff to be a bit unsavory. How things have changed this year since I understand that the place is under new management. The very same malcontent from last year waited on us at our table and was all smiles and jocular, an unbelieveably positive change. The rotiserrie chicken and the mixed salad was just as good as last year. I also highly recommend the tiramisu for dessert! We look forward to going back again next summer!

Idyllic setting complete with passing boats, ducks and even roving farm animals on the premises. Huge old trees overhead. Gorgeous. The downsides are that they don 't accept credit cards, the croque monsieur was grilled cheese with ham on white toast, and the wine was below average. My friend liked her omelet okay but not the fries. Still, go for the views... on that count, we definitely recommend.

The lake buvette, in the heart of the borély park. simple and tasty cuisine, very good price. the welcome of the boss and waitresses is really very friendly and reactive. and the setting is absolutely superb, on the lake edge, surrounded by ducks, wigs, monks, and a beautiful paon that sometimes ventures in the middle of the tables. A sublime setting, a welcoming and very friendly staff. The meals were delicious. I highly recommend this restaurant.
