Great little dinner in mars hill. I want to be a favorite. all types of burgers and sandwiches, they have the best peaceful pickles and the biggest woofers! many different crafts and regular beers. huge portions, they can have their protein, on a bungalow or dish or on a salad. all kinds of wonderful topping to supplement their protein desire. all homemade salat dressing also. I had the blue cheese and it was incredible. pulled pork was juicy and smokey. Add carrot and roasted garlic on my. yum was really good. they are friendly and knowledgeable and very helpful when it comes to ordering. had to wait a few minutes, even on Tuesday, because people figure out how good this little place is!
Ohmehgerd. The Bleu Ridge brisket is seriously once of the best sandwiches I've ever tasted. The buns are slathered in garlic so after the family gets done drooling over your choice they might not want to sit next to you but it's TOTALLY worth it. Drroooollll....
Discover on Yelp and a short drive so took the chance . The place is small , service is great , and wait time for food a little long but the food was great ! The staff were on top of things and very nice ! I will go back again in the near future
First time in area and we lucked out finding this place. Good was great. Wings were fantastic. Fries smothered with chili and cheese were best ever. Hope to be back soon.
Awesome southern comfort food! Exactly what we were looking for in the Mars Hills area. Had a bit of a wait, so we walked around the nearby college campus.
Nestled in the Great Smoky Mountains, this charming restaurant has garnered mixed reviews from diners. While some have encountered underwhelming dishes such as dry wings and burgers cooked incorrectly, many rave about the outstanding service and memorable flavors. Patrons delight in the Bleu Ridge brisket and generously-sized salads, complemented by a selection of unique, homemade sauces and local beers. The cozy ambiance, though occasionally marred by noise, adds to its charm. Visitors appreciate the welcoming staff and reasonable prices, with many eager to return for another hearty meal in this picturesque location. Overall, it’s a culinary gem worth exploring.

Sat down around 7:10pm, ordered. Took 45 minutes for refills, 1 appetizer came out, nothing else. Over an hour later, no food still. Asked for check for the 3 soft drinks appetizer. They tried to charge for things that never even made it to the table, corrected it, but kept laughing. Definitely a waste of time money. This place was excellent! The fried mushrooms- wow! The brisket- exquisite! We bought an extra order to take home with us (it was extremely good when reheated on the stove top) My wife got the burger which was juicy, thick and delicious! We also got I think the buffalo fries- which were unique and excellent! This is a great, small town restaurant. I love the vibe and decorations and highly recommend you give it a try! Avoid. Waited well over an hour for food that never made it to the table. Asked for a check for the couple of drinks that got 1 refill in the course of the hour (no, they weren't busy) the 1 appetizer that made it to the table. They tried to charge for stuff that never was brought to the table, just laughed when they corrected it... Would give 0 Stars if it were an option. Consistently awesome food and fantastic service. One of our favorite places to go! Portions are huge and options are a-plenty. Highly recommend.
My girlfriend and I dined at this restaurant twice during our vacation weekend, and I highly recommend it. The staff was welcoming, the service was swift, and the food was amazing. I had one of the best burgers I've enjoyed in a long time. The atmosphere was very inviting and made it a great place to relax.
I've enjoyed good food here in the past, but my most recent visit was disappointing. I ordered a medium-well burger, but it arrived raw. I sent it back, and by the time I received my food, everyone else at the table had already finished their meals.
This restaurant exceeded my expectations! The food was delicious. Although we had to wait for a bit, it was packed with people once we got inside.
Craving delicious brisket and juicy burgers, we chose to visit this charming spot on Main Street. Luckily, we found parking right out front and were warmly greeted by the hostess. They aren’t serving alcohol at the moment, and it’s unclear when that might change. Having decided on our meal beforehand, we weren’t let down—the brisket was outstanding, and I loved the sliders paired with a side salad. The interior was cozy, and the place was lively during dinner. We’re definitely planning to come back!

I had an amazing experience at this restaurant! This was my second visit, and both times have been exceptional. I went on a bustling Sunday night as well as a quieter Wednesday at 5 PM. The food portions are very generous, and the staff were polite and made ordering easy. I highly recommend starting with their chili cheddar bacon fries as an appetizer!
The atmosphere was amazing, and the food exceeded our expectations. The flavors were remarkable, and the presentation was visually impressive. A gentleman at the table next to us noted that the draft beer is exceptional. While we don’t drink beer, I thought it was worth mentioning.
On my second visit, I opted for the special: smoked ribs. They were moist, tender, and literally fell off the bone—absolutely flawless. There’s also a great selection of local beers and ciders on tap. However, I can’t give a full 5 stars because I noticed some inconsistency. I had been looking forward to the onion rings again, but this time they were over-battered and a bit greasy. It was much busier during my second visit, and I saw an extra person in the kitchen, which might explain the difference. For first-time visitors, here's a tip: if you're coming from the interstate, don’t turn right at Main Street (as your GPS might suggest). Instead, take a right on College Street. There's better two-hour parking there, and you won’t be parking directly on Main Street; it’s just a quick one-minute walk around the block to the restaurant. If you enjoy sweet, thick Memphis-style BBQ sauce, I recommend bringing some along, as the sauce here leans more toward the South Carolina vinegar style. While that's a favorite for many, it's not really my thing. The meat itself is perfectly cooked with excellent seasoning; I just wasn’t a fan of the sauce options. Nevertheless, I will definitely be back!
We had a fantastic lunch at Stackhouse Restaurant. They provide a great selection of barbecue, burgers, and other tasty dishes, along with an impressive array of local beers. I opted for the kids/seniors menu and had two brisket sliders with a side salad, which were delicious and quite satisfying. My wife chose the BLAT sandwich, which includes bacon, lettuce, avocado, and tomato, and she really enjoyed the flavors. Don't forget to check their schedule for live music in the evenings!
We stopped by on our way home to Unicoi, and we were absolutely amazed! The food was fantastic, and the portions were generous. From now on, we'll be making the trip from Unicoi to Mars Hill just to satisfy our cravings for Stackhouse!
