What User doesn't like about Red Rooster, Marrara:
The food is terribly woeful and very overpriced. If you're after value for money, then this isn't the place to go. I'm astounded by the cost of the food for what you actually get. View all feedback.
The person responsible for creating these recipes should consider a career change. The food, presentation, and prices are all extremely disappointing. I have given Red Rooster multiple chances, but I am always let down. Today, I saw an advertisement for the Parmi burger as I was driving by and decided to give it a try. The single patty burger was $8.50 and the double patty was $11. When I received the single burger, I was appalled. It was small, the bun was hard, and the patty looked low quality. Additionally, the tomato sauce was sour. The meal was not worth more than $3, and that's being generous. It seemed cheap and carelessly thrown together. I immediately returned for a refund. Red Rooster should rethink their menu and prices, as the food is subpar and overpriced.
I visited this restaurant for the first time and it will also be my last. The customer service was lacking and the food was only average. Additionally, there was a customer who had to return because part of her order was forgotten while she was waiting.
My husband and I used to have Red Rooster chicken every week, but we usually got it from a different location. However, he went to this particular Red Rooster yesterday and unfortunately, it was the worst roast chicken and pineapple fritter we've ever had. The chicken was overcooked with soggy skin, making it seem like it had been sitting in the bain marie for too long. Additionally, they gave us the wrong order, so we had to go back again to pick up the pineapple fritter the next day. The fritter was oily and appeared to have been sitting out overnight. After this experience, we have no interest in going back and would suggest driving an extra 5 minutes to the Casuarina Red Rooster if you're looking for a convenient meal without having to cook.
I give very fair and constructive feedback either good or bad this place is not worth going to (through the drive though at least), unless you have hours to waste waiting in line! Once you 're in the drive through and you have a car behind you, you can 't get out because there is a big garden bed there i nearly drove through the garden bed, but obviously didn 't because it would have destroyed it, and i 'm not that type of person.. We 're not huge junk food eaters however the last 3 times (probably over about 6 months) we 've been here we 've waited in line for close to, or over 20 minutes. The first time we were in line for about 25 minutes, which made us absolutely angry because we could see 2 staff members out the back smoking i don 't care if they 're on a break, we shouldn 't have to site there in line for ages while we watch their staff out the back smoke! Yesterday we went through just to get some chips to share in the car and were in line for just under 20 minutes. When we got to the counter i spoke to the staff member serving and said that I don 't believe it is acceptable to be held in line for this long when there is no way to leave the line the staff member said that today they are very busy (without any real apology). I asked to speak to the manager so i could advise of my dissatisfaction as they must have been this busy for the last three times we 've been here, however he said i 'm sorry, she 's too busy hence this post. At least the chips were fresh yesterday last time they were old and soggy!
The usual Red Rooster choices are available. Good take away or sit in. I like the chicken roll, and chips.
