We decided to give Villa Capri an attempt when we went through Marquette on our way to Pictured Rocks, and we loved it. We like good Italian cuisine, and this cozy, beautifully decorated restaurant exceeded our expectations. The food is obviously homemade with great care. The tomato sauce is tenderly seasoned and the cheese raviolis I enjoyed was a pleasure. I also had the Minestrone soup that was chopped in a savory, rich base. The garlic bread is excellent and the tasteful Italian music in the background offers a beautiful lift. My husband had a thin crust pizza and noticed that it was the best he ever tasted. We shared a rice pudding for dessert, and it was fresh, creamy and subtle flavored with cinnamon and whipped cream. It was not excessively full of sugar like some bad desserts, you can taste the ingredients. The service was excellent and the ambience is friendly and relaxed. I wish we lived closer to Villa Capri, so we could eat more often there.
Traditional immigrants Italian food in the UP! Great service! Everything in a timeless setting. Very suggest!

I've been here for years before I moved over the country. Actually, BETTER, when I remember. Once, I didn't set expectation higher than reality.
You can't beat the atmosphere in there it's all very romantic and the food is excellent. I always get a steak and some pasta on the side, the salads and garlic bread are great as well. It's a little busy in there so wait times can be long but it's worth it!
