We both had the steaks with fries and salad they were both good the service was a bit slow on the drinks and also my wife had a small glass of wine and this was charged at a glass which was very expensive we queried this but nothing was done,

Excellent service , staff extremely accommodating and explained the dishes and wines . Was booked for my fathers th birthday had a very lovely evening . The setting of the restaurant also adds to the ambiance . Would definitely recomend and hope to visit again .

Very disappointed on this occasion conversation was drowned out by the saxophonist who should have positioned himself away from the diners we liked the music but it was far too loud) The portions for the salmon mousse starter was abismal and service was a combination of good and poor. We had a far better experiece last August when we came for a family lunch and as the lunch on the th was a gift from our children we felt very cheated!

Extremely disappointing dining experience, served already half used bottled water, no offer to taste the wine, followed by warm white wine, trainee staff and very slow service. Refused to pay the service charge and I am afraid we will not be returning. What a shame, used to such a great place, but just not good enough customer experience , lots of other venues in Buckinghamshire to choose from and that is what we will be doing. Seriously need to get their ACT TOGETHER!!

Waiting staff were far too keen to impress, the service was far too quick and there were too many trainees working that day. It spoilt the leisurely lunch we were hoping for.
