This restaurant was the only one open and we were a little put off by a rather cold response when we turned up before 7pm, and then got soaked in a sudden storm as we waited for opening time. Once open, it's a different story, however, with tourists and locals all treated to wonderful food, good service and on our visit a lovely baby. Celebrating our first night and meal in France after a very long journey we opted for the menu which was rather expensive. The food was of superb standard, however, especially the dessert which was quite magnificent. The local wine was just as good. The area and restaurant are well worth revisiting.
It’s tough being a vegetarian in France, you can eat salad, French fries and Cheese but not much else. We lucked out at this restaurant since they served Cheese Samosas and a fresh Salad with local Alsace wine. Had a wonderful lunch sitting out in the open on a lovely summer day. Great service, superb location.
A couple bought this restaurant in 2014 and renovated it since. Now, it's a nice restaurant with modern decoration. The food is good. There is a healthy menu, cheap, at 18 euros which is well done. The service is efficient and friendly. This restaurant is the new and modern Alsatian cuisine.
