A couple bought this restaurant in 2014 and renovated it since. Now, it's a nice restaurant with modern decoration. The food is good. There is a healthy menu, cheap, at 18 euros which is well done. The service is efficient and friendly. This restaurant is the new and modern Alsatian cuisine. View all feedback.
Marlenheim is a beautiful small town surrounded by its vineyards and guarded by two stork platforms. this restaurant was the only open one and we were a bit deposed by a rather cold reaction than we showed up before 19 clock and then softened in a sudden storm than we waited for the opening times. once opened, it is another story, but with tourist and local treated all wonderful food, good service and on our visit a beautiful baby. we celebrate our first night and meal in france after a very long trip we decided to choose the menu that was quite expensive. eating was however of excellent standard, especially dessert, that was quite magnificent. the local wine was just as good. the opposite and the restaurant are well revisiting.
It is difficult to be a vegetarian in france, they can salate, French pommes and cheese eat, but not much else. we have enjoyed this restaurant as they have served cheese samosas and a fresh salad with the local Alsace wine. had a wonderful lunch in. open on a beautiful summer day. great service, excellent location.

15 miles from straßburg is known as the first village of weinstraße, i.e. where the most important wine mountains of Alsace begin. it is also the village where my great parents lived. I came back after a long absentee to monitor a family meeting with my cousins that should take place in this restaurant. at the relais des saveurs, ende april and at the beginning of May 2015 I enjoyed among other things – their « tarte flambée », a plate of broth-rolled very thin, covered with ausage blanc or cream iefra, thin-cut tweezers and lardons. it is one of the most famous specificities of the region. I was happy. on May 2, 2015, the lunch for the 55 guests (my cousins and family) was a total failure. we should enjoy a baeckehoffe, which is a mixture of sliced potato and swirl, spicy mutton, pork and bark meat, which were marinated overnight in Alsace white wine and juniper berries. we did not see any of the most common ingredients for taste and color like carrots, thymian, lauch, petersilie, garlic and/or marjoram. the baeckehoffe is to be coked slowly in a sealed ceramic-casrole shell. most of us were completely disappointed because it was lacking professionalism of the cook, not to follow the recipes of a traditional Asian dish. so if they are an individual, why not stop; but if they are a group of travelers who visit Alsace, they simply meet the road.
